Inns of Court, 26th March and 3rd April 2025
Frieda arranged a day trip walking around the Inns of Court with Ian Bevan who is a City of London and Blue Badge Guide. Interest in this trip was so high, she arranged a second trip.  Members commented that Ian was not only an excellent guide and knew his history, but also imparted it with fact and a good sense of humour. He also pointed out where Charles Dickens worked in South Square Gray's Inn for Ellis and Blackmore and also set the court case in Bleak House Jarndice v Jarndice in Old Hall Lincoln’s Inn. The film industry and television have used this location over the years like Rumpole of the Bailey, Silk, Judge John Deed and Downton Abbey amongst many.

AGM, 12th March 2025
Due to increasing costs at our traditional venue, this year we tried something different and went to Reigate Manor.  Following a meagre lunch, our guest speaker stole the floor in an enthralling talk about Concorde: Supersonic Cover up?

Northern Cyprus, 23rd April 2025
26 members including 4 who had joined specifically to come on this trip travelled from Gatwick to Larnaca and then crossed the border from the South to reach our base in Kyrenia. The Pia Bella Hotel was first class, providing comfortable and spacious accommodation, high quality food and two swimming pools, enjoyed by many of our party. A variety of excursions led by a highly knowledgeable guide provided a real insight into the history, geography and political situation of this very interesting island.
